AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
Whether you are a seasoned pilot or just have a passing interest in flight, the Tennessee Museum of Aviation in Sevierville is a must-see experience. As the state’s official repository and archive of aviation history, this Sevierville attraction offers educational fun for all ages.
With a massive, brightly lit, climate-controlled hangar full of vintage planes, the Tennessee Museum of Aviation is a great place to visit, no matter the weather or the season. And if the skies are clear, you may even see history come to life as the warbird aircraft take flight from the airport's runway, right outside the museum’s hangar door.
Inside the museum’s exhibit gallery is a series of professionally designed displays that tell the story of flight, displaying memorabilia, photos, scale models, an array of military flight suits, and aircraft paraphernalia helping to bring the history of aviation to life. A 52 foot wall contains a timeline of national, military and Tennessee aviation milestones.
Also be sure to explore the Flying Spirit Gift Gallery, home to the Southeast’s most complete aviation gifts collection. You’ll find aviation T-shirts, caps, jackets, historic aviation books, die-cast models, model kits, posters, prints, a large selection of pins and patches, DVDs and toys for every age group. A large selection of the gifts can be found at the museum’s online store.
The Tennessee Museum of Aviation is conveniently located just two miles from downtown Sevierville, adjacent to the airport. Just take U.S. 411 North (Dolly Parton Parkway) and turn right onto Air Museum Way at Evergreen Church.
